Susanne S.

Receptionist

Susanne is another of the first smiling face you will see behind the front desk. She was born in Germany, but her husband’s work assignment brought them and their (at the time), 10-year old daughter, to the United States. She and her family lived in the Silicon Valley for the first 3 years, and then for 2 years near Chicago. Susanne and her husband then decided they did not wish to return to their home country, her husband got a job in Warren, MI and have been green-card holders since 2014. She grew up next to a farm, where she spent most of her time as a child. She started by volunteering at animal shelters, doggy day-cares, and pet sitting until 2011 when she became the Head Volunteer for Dogs at DuPage Animal Care and Control. In early 2013, she graduated with honors from the Animal Behavior College’s Dog Training Program and worked as a Dog Trainer for 2.5 years at Canine Resolution until finding a position as a Veterinary Assistant and ultimately coming to work with us here at TCVA.

Susanne has two Guinea Pigs, Aspen and Aspen’s son, Phil. Both are “foster failures”! J She enjoys spending time with her family and nurturing her relationships, traveling, camping, volunteering at animal rescues, concerts, reading, ballroom dance, and spoiling her pets.
